🎃 Bothwell Scarecrow Festival

Bothwell’s gone full straw-brained again – and we LOVE it. The Scarecrow Festival is back for its 13th year and taking over the village for two whole weeks of crafty, quirky fun. Expect live music, a Grand Parade, a Super Scarecrow Street, inflatables, food stalls, and community vibes by the hay bale-load. Want to join in? Build your own scarecrow and give your front garden a glow-up!

🎉 Milngavie Street Party

Milngavie’s throwing a proper party, and you're all invited. Over two epic days, this street fest brings big music energy with acts from across the UK — from Craig Charles to Fabio & Grooverider. Saturday daytime is family heaven: inflatables, parades, face painting and even a songwriting class! Stick around for the ticketed evening sets if you fancy a proper boogie.

🏰 Crookston Castle Fun Day

Celebrate Glasgow’s 850th birthday with some time travel! This free family day lets you explore the city’s only medieval castle, complete with re-enactments, stalls, games and a peek at a real archaeological dig. It’s educational fun with a side of face paint – what’s not to love?

Holy Bat-Sighting! Grab a torch and join the countryside ranger for a nocturnal adventure through Dams to Darnley Country Park. Spot pipistrelles and Daubenton’s bats and learn all about their secret night lives. Family-friendly, dog-friendly, and just the right amount of spooky!

🌱 Merrylee Plotholders Open Day

Peek behind the (green) curtain at Merrylee Allotments and meet the community keeping Glasgow growing. With soup, cakes, a cosy courtyard café and happy vibes, this open day is as wholesome as it gets. Donations support a therapeutic gardening charity – good food, good cause, great day out.

🎨 Saturday Art Club @ Platform
